We've worked really hard to understand and navigate these new rules as a small business.

We're committed to our EU readers so we're really thrilled to say we'll be complying with the regulations which means we'll still be able to ship our special edition books to the EU ❤️

The change we've had to make is we'll only be able to offer the book-only subscriptions to EU customers as we're unable to ship anything non-paper based.

We really hope this is temporary and the regulations will change to better support small businesses but until then this is the solution we've come up with.

Each month, you'll get a spicy book, a themed mocktail to match the mood of the book, and 1-2 smutty bookish goodies (like SFW art, NSFW art, stickers, bookmarks, pins and coasters).

Why mocktails?

We’re all about inclusivity! And if you're like us, alcohol + reading means barely absorbing the words on the page (but hey, that’s a perfect excuse to re-read 😉). But want to add a splash of your favorite alcohol? Go for it!

The month before each box, we’ll tease the book’s theme, tropes, and give you a full reveal so you can look forward to the spicy book and mocktail inside.

You’ll be charged on the 1st of each month for that month’s box.

Please note our first box will ship in January so, current subscribers, your next renewal won't be until 1st February for our February box.

Our book only subscription can be sent to most countries.

Our full box subscription can only be sent to addresses within the UK.

Shipping rates will vary by location. We hope that as we grow we can get better shipping rates and pass those savings on to you ☺️

While we strive to keep these rates up-to-date, they may be subject to change based on carrier adjustments or other factors! Final shipping rates will always be calculated at checkout.

Please note that you may be charged customs duties and/or taxes upon arrival, depending where you are. This is the responsibility of the recipient. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for any additional fees incurred.

We aim to ship each month's subscription by the end of that month. So for e.g. January's book by the end of January, February's by the end of February and so on. Of course, if there are any delays we'll keep you updated ❤️

As a small business based in the UK, we are not registered for VAT as we fall below the VAT registration threshold. This means the price you pay for your order does not include VAT and no additional VAT charges should be applied once your order arrives.

For EU and international customers, since we're shipping from the UK, you may be responsible for VAT or customs duties upon arrival in your country, depending on local regulations. Unfortunately, we cannot control or estimate these fees and they may vary by location. As we grow, we may explore options to simplify this process and will keep you updated on any changes ❤️

You can manage your subscription using the 'Manage my subscription' button on our menu. This will allow you to get a Magic Link 🦄 to your email, where you won't need a password to login.

You can also create an account if you'd prefer by clicking the little profile/log in avatar on our menu.

For either methods just make sure you use the same email as when you subscribed so the backend can do its thing and pull up your details!

Yes! You’ll have full control of your subscription through your smut&sip account. You can then skip a box or cancel at any time. Our skip policy is listed below.

We know not every book will be to everyone's taste (even though we hope you'll love each and every pick, we get it!). For the time being, skips are unlimited 🖤

Please note that, to ensure skips are processed properly, you'll need to skip before renewals go through otherwise, we can't guarantee it'll be skipped!

We’re a small business and frequent skips can affect our ability to operate smoothly. If you skip a significant number of consecutive boxes (e.g. 6 or more), we may review your subscription and reserve the right to cancel it at our discretion.

We understand that plans change and we always want to ensure the best experience for our subscribers!

But due to the nature of our subscription boxes, we’re unable to offer refunds for orders or subscription renewals once they’ve been placed. Here's why:

✨ Each box is carefully curated and custom prepared in advance, meaning that all orders and renewals are final once processed.

✨ For pre-orders, we may be able to cancel if requested early enough but this isn’t guaranteed. Please reach out to us as soon as possible if you need help.

If you'd like to make changes to your subscription, be sure to do so before your next renewal date.
